I am a licensed, ASHA certified, speech language pathologist who has been practicing since 2011. I have extensive experience working with adults with aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, oral motor disorders, dysphagia, fluency, voicing and word retrieval impairments.
I have assessed and treated a plethora of disorders that affect cognitive - communicative skills including:
I pride myself in being proactive while providing therapy services and have completed a vast array of continuing education courses.
I have practiced in a wide variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, acute rehab, skilled nursing, home health care and hospitals. I love my field and am passionate about offering my knowledge and expertise to help others enhance their cognitive-communicative skills by taking the suggested steps to prevent cognitive decline and to improve overall quality of life by incorporating the 5 pillars of brain health: mental stimulation, nutrition, social interaction, stress reduction and physical activity into their everyday lives. My favorite part of my job is being able to combine a variety of techniques into the right formula to help a client achieve wellness.
I view clients and family as key members of the treatment team. I work hard to make sure you and your loved ones receive all the support and resources needed.
When I am not being a speech language pathologist, I am a wife to my wonderful and supportive husband, Keith. You will mostly find me spending time with my family and friends, working on my fitness and when schedules allow, relaxing and binging on my favorite television shows!
